I could kill someone...if I had earmuffs.

Yesterday was a good day for a lot of reasons. It was my buddies birthday so all the guys spent the day together. We shot guns, ate lots of food, watched the Michigan game, played some golf and had a bonfire. All around good day, but my favorite part was shooting guns for one reason; I can finally shoot stuff.

We have been out shooting many times before and I have always stunk. We usually go clay pigeon shooting, which is where we launch these clay disc in the air and shoot at them. Keep in mind that I live with rednecks so this is quality entertainment for them...and me. For some reason I have never been able to shoot one. I have shot at them more times than I can remember but I have never hit one. It is actually border line embarrassing/pathetic.Yesterday, that all changed.

As an explanation I must say I have never been able to close my left eye without closing my right one. When I try I resemble Brad Pitt, except I have really squinted eyes, no muscles and a big nose. If you ever shot a gun you know how hard it is to shot without one eye closed. It all looks double and it is impossible to hit anything. Well, yesterday someone had the idea that I should take bobby's earmuffs when I shoot and place one over my left eye so I can focus out of my right eye. Embracing my inner pirate, I did and it was like magic happened. As soon as put those on I hit eight clays in a row. It was amazing, and everyone was just as surprised as I was.

Because of my new found talent I started threating people, stating that I could shoot and kill them if I wanted. Ben (the birthday boy) just sort of laughed and reminded me that all he had to do was take my eye patch off and he would gladly let me shoot at him. I thought "Arrr, he be right."

So I was feeling pretty good. I actually did a couple of cool tricks with my shooting. The first one being racking a shell out of my gun and shooting the shell mid air. I was pretty happy. Then I was able to roll a golf ball off the end of my barrel, flick it into the air and blast it. It was a lot of fun. I wish I had a camera because I am pretty sure those tricks were YouTube worthy.

To top the day off Michigan beat #10 Penn State. It was real good to see Michigan win against a legit team. It was real nice just to get away from the school work, and the stress of whats been going on lately.
